Alys Dobbins

Hi, I am Alys Dobbins. I am on the Social Events Team for the SWE Tri-Cities Chapter. I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.

I started at the City of Kingsport in September 2021 as a civil engineer in the Water Services Department. SWE has helped me grow confidence and gain many other important skills for navigating this field.  I enjoy helping this community expand and watching members grow and create meaningful connections.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading, and exploring new places.
