Jayani Wilkin

Hi, I am Jayani Wilkin. I am on the Public Relations/Social Media Team for the SWE Tri-Cities Chapter. I graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

I started at Eastman full-time August 2022. I previously interned at the Texas City site Summer 2021. I'm currently in Plant Engineering Area 2 supporting Mixed Plastics Processing. I'm from Bluffton, South Carolina, but have also lived in California, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.

In college, I was in Alpha Omega Epsilon, which is a STEM sorority. That community of women was really important for me in my college career as a minority in engineering. I'm super excited to be a part of building this SWE chapter from the ground up. Creating event posts and flyers is a creative outlet for me. I don't get a lot of that in my every day job, but I do get some of that being on this team.

Outside of work, I enjoy DIY home projects, tattoo designing, sewing, painting, jewelry making (anything where I'm making something).
